I am from Iowa and studied painting and graphic design at St. Ambrose University, Davenport, IA. In 2001 I moved to Minneapolis to work in graphic design. I joined Visual Arts Focus Group (VAFG) and Women’s Art Registry of Minnesota (WARM) and showed paintings at Art-A-Whirl and St. Paul Art Crawl, and with VAFG. More recently my work has appeared at ARTour, at numerous locations in and around Northfield, and at Artistry (Bloomington Art Center).

My landscape paintings are about transitions to new places and challenges, and often feature people paddling on rivers. They face challenges ahead of storms and unseen hazards on rivers just as they do in life.

When I am not painting, I draw abstract designs and impressionistic landscapes in colored pencils and soft pastels. In 2016 I completed 365 colored pencil drawings, one for each day.
